A Mind that Matters takes centre stage
As International Women’s Day dawns, my story takes centre stage. I mean literally! A poster of the documentary chronicling my journey will be displayed at Times Square, New York, for the entirety of the day.
This is, of course, a great honour. However, the moment’s incredible significance is not lost on me. It emphasizes the importance of fighting for issues that personally matter, and necessity to pursue justice through courts. The path may be long and arduous, and success is never guaranteed. But even the losses may pave a path for others to tread on. It underscores the essence of perseverance and the power of dreams.
On a more personal note, in 2015, when the court ruled, my father was furious. But I guess – Hell hath no fury when the heaven’s rain.
